Carey takes pride in having the best chauffeurs on the road by only choosing career oriented referred applicants. All applicants must possess a strong customer service attitude, well groomed appearance, be articulate and have the ability to manage situations that arise in the field. All applicants undergo criminal and work history background checks, random drug-testing, continual MVR checks.

Uniform Requirements:
Carey chauffeur uniform consists of Black suit, white laundered shirt, “Carey” tie, black shined dress shoes, well-groomed appearance.
Chauffeurs receive Comprehensive classroom training based on the principles of the Carey Standards Manual as well as geography. After completing the classroom and on the road training program and testing, chauffeurs are equipped with the necessary tools to handle clients’ every need.
Carey New Orleans was the first local company to receive National recognition for the implementation and achievement for all chauffeurs having completed the only Safety program recognized by the National Limousines Association, but we didn’t stop there. We now practice the principles of Smith System Defensive Driver Training. The Smith System has served more than half of today’s Fortune 500 organizations. We have an on staff Smith System Certified Trainer and all drivers receive on road training using the Smith System Method.
All vehicles are on a preventive maintenance schedule. Our chauffeurs inspect their vehicles every day before leaving the garage. They must complete a report each time they drive a vehicle. Every problem is promptly addressed by our own in-house maintenance personnel or our contracted mechanic.
